Easy spinach pesto

Spinach pesto recipe that will take you 5 minutes to make, and can be used in a variety of dishes!  A great way to add greens, healthy fats and protein into your family's diet.


  • 2 cups packed spinach (can sub kale too)
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 lemon- juiced
  • 1/2 cup cashews (can sub almonds too)


  1. Put all of the ingredients in the blender or food processor.

  2. Pulse on low until everything is combined and at the desired consistency, stopping the blender and swiping down the sides with a spatula as necessary.

  3. Enjoy!
